So we had a fire start in Herriman, UT about two days ago. It’s just Southwest of me. A military camp had been doing some machine gun exercise or something like that and one of the shots sparked the fire. This was an extremely idiotic and irresponsible move on the camp. It was hot, dry and windy on the day it started. Over 1,400 homes were evacuated. In the end (although the fire is still going) four homes were burnt completely to ground. Countless homes and vehicles were damaged severely.

Four families lost everything they had for no reason other than the carelessness of Camp William’s. I can’t imagine what that would be like. Many other families have lost a lot. I wish I could give everyone a place to sleep and eat and feel comfortable. I want to do everything I can to help. My wishes go out to all those families, police and firefighters who are going through all of this. I feel extremely lucky.
